Appropriate Adult Volunteers Needed.

The Young Lives Foundation (YLF) is an award-winning children’s charity in the South East of England with expertise in Advocacy, Mentoring, Befriending and Activity Programmes

We are looking for on call volunteers to join our Appropriate Adult team, supporting Juveniles and Vulnerable Adults in Police Custody across Kent & Medway!

 

If you are…

·       Over 18 years old 

·       Based in Kent

·       Able to easily travel to at least one custody suite 

·       Able to be on call for at least one shift a week (for approximately 5 hours although flexibility required)

·       Passionate about upholding the rights of vulnerable people

We support vulnerable people in custody 365 days a year, 8am-11pm across 7 custody suites. Our volunteers assist with aspects such as Police interviews, DNA testing, ID parades and more.

We currently require volunteers who can provide on call cover for weekday evenings (approx 6pm-11pm) & weekends (day and evening shifts).

This is a voluntary role with no salary.
