Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with Electrical bias

Overall Objective

The EMT Maintenance Engineer will be required to undertake fault finding of electrical supplies and equipment, minor electrical installation works as well as reactive and planned maintenance to all the EMT sites and residential properties.

Key Accountabilities

· Undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities.

· Identify & repair faults to services, control panels, plant & associated equipment.

· Carry out minor electrical installation work.

· Testing of Emergency lighting

· Upgrading of lighting systems

· To undergo Part P training to enable work within our residential properties.

· Work independently as well as part of a team

· Undertake works to a high standard on a first-time fix basis where possible.

· Ensure exceptional levels of customer care.

· To regularly provide feedback and updates to Line Manager

· Assist other trades and be willing to carry out other roles where appropriate.

· Submission of daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time

· Provide Technical assistance to staff and contractors.

· Escort contractors and visitors where required.

· Undertake minor redecoration tasks.

· Provide general portering duties.

· Partake in an out of hours on call rota.

This list is not exhaustive and may include other tasks reasonably expected.

General responsibilities

· EMT is committed to achieving a high standard of Health and Safety in all its activities and the post holder will be expected to contribute to maintaining standards to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation.

· To take an active role in the implementation of personal development through appraisals and to participate in any identified training or development opportunities.

everyone with dignity and respect.

Personal Skills

· Must be an electrically biased engineer.

· Should hold 18th Edition, served a recognised apprenticeship that includes City and Guilds or equivalent.

· Knowledge of instrumentation, electrical and control systems

· Works on own initiative or well with a team

· Knowledge of CAFM systems

· Willingness to be flexible.

· Good communication skills

· Good customer service skills

· Attention to detail.

· Good time management skills

· £28,000-£30,000 per annum, with 5 weeks holiday per year plus Public Holidays and staff pension scheme.
