IT Infrastructure Project Engineer (fixed term contract)
salary £35000 - £45000 DOE

Job summary
This is a fixed term contract until 2027 (estimated)
In this role you will manage the IT infrastructure scope of a large infrastructure project, delivering buildings and road networks from design to completion. The project will be delivered in a live operational port environment and will require a collaborative approach to be adopted between construction contractors, ‘Framework’ contractors, operational teams and multiple stakeholders in the port estate. The role forms part of a wider Delivery Team focusing on the Outbound Controls Programme and operates within the Ports IT and Engineering Departments. Project objectives are to be made clear and conform to Sponsor and stakeholder requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
▪ Preferable a minimum of ONC (Level 3 qualification) and desirable HNC or HND in Electrical or IT related discipline
▪ Specific knowledge of installation to the standards of BS EN 50173 preferred
▪ Extensive experience of design, supervising & undertaking IT related networking, cabling and IT infrastructure works
▪ Strong background liaising with and management of Contractors, Consultants and Clients
▪ Good user skills in Office 365 and MS Project
▪ An understanding of CDM Regulations 2015
▪ Full driving licence and own transport
