Salary is £35k-45k DOE


Our client, a busy international well-established logistics organisation are recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer. 

Job Summary

You will manage the Electrical scope (along with mechanical systems) of a large multi-disciplinary infrastructure project in a live environment. This is the most critical project across the portfolio and will look to address required infrastructure changes to mitigate changes in Entry Exit System requirements driven by the EU. 

As the project will be delivered in a live operational environment and will require a collaborative approach to be adopted between designers, construction contractors, Framework contractors, operational teams and multiple stakeholders across the organisation.

The purpose of this role is to manage the Electrical scope through design and into construction in collaboration as part of the client programme team, in collaboration with an ECI contractor. You will ensure that the projects Scope is effectively defined and managed to achieve the required project outcomes. Effective collaboration with supply chain and other stakeholders and technical competence in the design and build process are essential.

This is a fixed term contract until 2027 (estimated)

Skills and Qualifications

- BSc/BEng in Electrical or M&E discipline

- Project Management Qualification from APM or alternative relevant professional organisation or demonstratable experience

- IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition (BS 7671-2018)

- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in project or design for construction projects

- Fulfilling the role of Project Manager under the NEC contracts

- Ability to produce drawing in AutoCAD or similar design tool, use of Pro Design and Blue Beam is desirable

- A demonstrable understanding of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety Legislation

- Good user skills in MS Office and MS Project

- Full driving licence and own transport
