Trainee Welder

 

Position:                         Trainee Welder

Location:                         Sittingbourne 

Reporting to:                 Finish Manager           

Salary:                              £8.25ph

Job Type:                        Full time / Permanent

 

                                          

My client is a leading supplier of aluminium and magnesium castings and fully-finished, assembly ready cast parts for the aerospace and defence industries. They are looking for a trainee welder to join their existing team

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Tig welding of aluminium and magnesium to a high standard and in line with company welding procedures including preparation of weld area

  • Setting

  • Hardness testing

 

Person Specification

 

Full training to be given but some knowledge or experience of welding would be advantageous.

Manufacturing background preferred but not essential

Able to demonstrate an excellent attitude to health and safety and quality assurance
